History of Graphic Design Class : The Origins Of Communication

Hi everyone,

Based on a lecture my class had last week on early communication and our readings from our textbook, we were asked to create simple symbols that represented simple actions in life. These had to be abstract as well but still able to communicate the idea. This was a fun exercise which helped give more of a sense in the origins of communication

Here's mine:

Overall, my class got all of them except for the "Horsepower" symbol which was a bit weak in communication. I could have made the lightening bolt look less like a wing (which was pointed out) and maybe draw the horse actually galloping.
